The Twin Cities are located along the winding Mississippi River, about 45 minutes away from the Wisconsin border. These cities offer the perfect balance between a diverse, urban environment and natural oasis, a beautiful location to live. The bustling downtown streets of Nicollet and Hennepin Ave of Minneapolis, as well as Grand and Snelling Ave of St. Paul, quickly give way to numerous local lakes, cross town bike trails and recreational parks. The cities offer many different activities and scenes, from lake side beaches to the well known theater districts. Numerous lofts and residential areas are within a short walking distance from famous theaters, such as the Guthrie, State and the Ordway. Many would find the culinary scene both interesting and impressive.

Minneapolis and St. Paul offer many mom and pop diners, well known restaurants and plenty of ethnic cuisine to satiate the traveler in all. There are plenty of things to do for family activities as well. During the winter, the Depot Ice Rink on Washington Avenue, as well as many skiing locations are a few of many activities that are available. The Science Museum of Minnesota and the Children's Museum, Bell Museum of Natural History and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts are a handful of the numerous local institutions and organizations that are available. The cities also house all of Minnesota's professional sports teams. The Timberwolves, Twins and Vikings all play in downtown Minneapolis, only a quick bus or light rail ride from many of the lofts that are throughout the city. Minneapolis offers a fabulous nightlife as well, many of the clubs either in Uptown, or located near Hennepin Ave. downtown. In addition to activities, the Twin Cities are home to numerous public schools and private and public universities. The University of Minnesota is on the edge of Minneapolis, spilling over the Mississippi into St. Paul. There are many other schools, such as Northwestern College, Hamline University, St. Thomas University and Augsburg College, in and around the Twin Cities. The Twin Cities are home to many Minnesota based companies, such as 3M, Medtronic, Target, Best Buy and General Mills, to name a few.

The Twin Cities has numerous opportunities for those looking to move to Minnesota, as well as locations for more development of lofts, apartments and residential areas. The locations can range from on the water front of famous local lakes, such as Harriet and Calhoun, to the prime downtown area. Minneapolis and St. Paul offer a unique culture and environment that makes the Twin Cities a great place to live.
